What We Offer

Diagnostic Study Veins

Diagnostic Study

Ultrasound study of the veins in the leg is a non-invasive study done as an outpatient in our facility.  The study looks at all the veins in the leg including the deep veins, superficial veins, and the connecting veins between the two systems. Based on the results, the physician is able to recommend the appropriate treatment.

Compression Therapy Stockings

Compression Therapy

Compression stockings are the first line of treatment and are usually required by Major Insurance Companies. This will give symptomatic relief, and is essential before other treatments are done.

The concept of compression therapy lies on a simple and efficient mechanical principle: the application of an elastic garment around the leg. Medical compression therapy can be applied in different forms: socks, stockings, pantyhose or bandages. We mainly use the Venoscan Brand and will fit you right in the office.  No need to go elsewhere for your compression hose.

This vein treatment is recommended for spider veins. During this outpatient procedure, a chemical solution is injected into the small veins, closing the veins. This is considered a cosmetic procedure, and may not be covered by insurance. It may take more than one treatment to reach the desired effect, and final results may not be evident for several weeks or months.

Some incompetent veins cannot be treated by catheter closure. In these cases it may be necessary to make a small incision to tie off the diseased vein using ultrasound and local anesthesia, as an outpatient procedure.

Ambulatory Microphlebectomy

Most of the varicose veins become less prominent after the closure procedure. The remaining varicose veins are removed through 2 mm incisions, as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia.

Vein Closure Procedure – Venefit

This is a minimally invasive procedure done as an outpatient in our vein clinic, using a tiny catheter powered by radio-frequency energy, delivering heat to the vein wall and closing the vein. This is done while you are awake under local anesthesia. The blood is then re-routed to other healthy veins.
